EA boss ‘very confident’ in the future of BioWare despite recent bombs

BioWare suffered what gave the impression to be a serious blow in late 2020 when Mass Impact and Dragon Age bosses Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah very immediately introduced that they had been leaving the studio, simply as work on new video games in each collection gave the impression to be getting underway in earnest. It was the most recent in a future of dangerous breaks for a studio that in recent times has suffered a few very high-profile bombs—Anthem and Mass Impact: Andromeda—and former govt departures together with Dragon Age lead producer Fernando Melo, Mass Impact lead author Drew Karpyshyn, and Anthem lead producer Ben Irving.

Throughout EA’s third quarter FY2021 earnings name immediately, CEO Andrew Wilson acknowledged that the studio has suffered some “blips” in recent times, however mentioned he is “very assured” about BioWare’s future and the video games it is making.
